Thirsty Ears
The gracious rain plays for us, Tapping out a million mingled rhythms With a thousand raindrop notes On a hundred thrumming drum heads Of leaves, roofs and window panes. Fwaps to tintinnabulation -- Gurgling gutters to pelting pavement. Spanking syncopations over the Soft cacophony of a water song. Crescendos blossom, then shush Thrilling then soothing us With this pleasing tone poem of quench. | ||
